    RBT Course Attestation

    Developing New Horizon’s ensures that the 40-hour course provided to our students meets the most current RBT Task List provided by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). The trainer responsible for overseeing the training is a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Our program has also been reviewed and collaborated on by a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst Doctor (BCBA-D) to ensure quality of the content. The BCBA-D responsible for overseeing the development of this RBT program has reviewed the training contents to ensure it covers all the tasks in the RBT Task List Second Edition to include at least three hours on the RBT Ethics Code (2.0), and include at least 1 hour on supervision. The duration of the course is at least 40 hours and must be completed in no less than a 5-day period and within 180-day period.

    The RBT Training offered by Developing New Horizons contains scheduled instructor-led online class discussion, interactive modules, and video lectures. Once a student completes the training within the timeframe requirements, the BCBA/s responsible for overseeing the training will ensure that the student has met these requirements before signing off on the training form. Developing New Horizons will maintain student attendance records and student training form signed by responsible BCBA/s for a period of 7 years. Any BCBA responsible for the training of a student may not be related to, subordinate to, or employed by the student taking the training.

    RBT Training course curriculum has been designed to allow students to stop, rewind, and fast forward videos in the modules for learning purposes. The student must complete the full duration of each module’s video before being allowed to proceed to the next module. Intermittent interactive practices questions and quizzes are included throughout the course to ensure student competence and fully document participation during each module. Quizzes and other practice questions consist of fill-in the blanks, matching, and multiple-choice questions to help improve fluency. A ‘Help’ button is provided to assist students with difficult questions. Students must meet an 90% competence in the quiz at the end of each module to then move on to the next module. If 90% competence is not obtained, the module will need to be retaken.

    For student to receive the required training form which represents completion of this RBT program from the BCBA or BCBA-D, the following must be met:
    1. Student must have successfully completed entire training curriculum as identified in this attestation.
    2. BCBA or BCBA-D will receive the transcript and to save in the student file as evidence of completion.
    3. BCBA or BCBA-D will review transcripts for competency and may require trainee to take additional live seminars tailored to the student’s additional and individualized need to before they can receive their certification.
    4. Developing New Horizons will provide weekly one-hour live question and answer seminars where students can ask questions and/or identify concerns they have based on individual modules.
